What to do in Ischia ?

During my stay in Naples, I spent 3 days in the beautiful Ischia. The island was quiet and fresh during mid-july, and it made my stay even more amazing. Here are a few pictures I took there. I loved the marina, the Aragonese castle, and the neverending walks on this big island. Ischia is definitely an island to visit if you’re traveling to Naples.

Beaches
From private beaches to more accessible ones, you will find plenty of choices. Follow the coastline to get to some less frequented beaches. Why not discover the island by kayak, and stop from time to time to swim?

Here are some of the best beaches : Pescatori beach, Spiaggia arenile di San Francesco or the 3km long Maronti beach.

Hikes
There are many great ways to visit the islands. Hiking is one of them. The cliffs of Ischia offer great panoramic views of the mediterranean sea. Take a walk from Sant’Angelo to Maronti Beach, a very easy trail guided by signposts.

Castello Aragonese
The most scenic place on the island has to be the Castello Aragonese. It’s definitely a must-do on your stay.Make sure to visit the village and the castle, both offer amazing view on the sea, and sometimes on Naples !
